The Warriors of History silver coin collection celebrates the stories of some of the most legendary warriors in history. This stunning silver coin features a colored illustration of a Zulu warrior ready for battle stands against an antique-finished, engraved background featuring rampaging Zulus.

This striking 1 oz pure silver coin comes presented in a sleek and stylish themed rectangular coin case, with textured cover. The uniquely numbered Certificate of Authenticity can be found inside the coin case.

History is filled with people who fought and conquered their enemies through the skillful use of weapons and their superior battle tactics. The Zulu people are some of these legendary warriors.

Shaka Zulu may be one of the greatest military leaders in African history. Tired of the throwing spear (assegai), he introduced a heavy stabbing spear (the iklwa); the "buffalo horns" military formation; and a large shield made of "color coded" cowhide so soldiers knew exactly where to go when forming the "buffalo horns".

This attack formation brought many Zulu warriors efficiently into hand to hand combat and, along with the iklwa and shield, proved devastating to their enemy.
