Buy Kilo Gold Coin-The Battle of Queenston Heights .9999

A stunning collectible gold coin, one of only 20 coins ever made!

Kitco has been lucky enough to purchase this stunning and exceptionally rare Gold Kilo Coin produced by the Royal Canadian Mint. As of this launch, it is the only coin of its kind for sale.

This unusual gold coin commemorates a fundamental turning point in Canada's history, the Battle of Queenston Heights. The War of 1812 profoundly influenced the history of Canada, then known as British North America. It united Aboriginal communities, French-and English-speaking inhabitants, farmers, artisans, soldiers, and others, in an effort to preserve their fledgling nation from American invasion. Some of Canada's proudest historical moments emerged from exceptional accounts of The Battle of Queenston Heights.

The impressive pure gold kilo (32.15 oz t) coin depicts the renowned 1896 painting, Battle of Queenston Heights, 13 October 1812 by John David Kelly. One of the most recognized portrayals of the War of 1812, and specifically of the Battle of Queenston Heights, the foreground of this painting shows Major General Isaac Brock as he lies dying. His soldiers struggle in vain to move him to safety, while behind him, British troops, Canadian militia, and First Nations warriors rush into battle with the oncoming Americans. The smoke of battle and the rolling highlands of the region are visible in the distance. The portrayal of British troops, Canadian militiamen, and First Nations warriors fighting together to fend off American invasion is striking. A polished gold border engraved with the word "CANADA" the bilingual text "THE BATTLE OF QUEENSTON HEIGHTS/LA BATTAILLE DES HAUTEURS DE QUEENSTON" and the dates "1812-2012" encircle the inner field.

A very limited mintage of this 1 kilogram 99.99% pure gold coin were produced in 2012. Only 20 gold coins were made available worldwide. This .9999 fine gold coin is no longer available through the Royal Canadian Mint, and has been completely sold out. Dealers, coin collectors and investors, don't miss out on your chance to own this exceptional gold coin.

The Gold Kilo Coin--The Battle of Queenston Heights is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded clamshell package. The 32.15 troy oz gold coin is accompanied by a serialized certificate- proof of ownership of this rare coin and evidence that the coin has been individually inspected by the Royal Canadian Mint's quality assurance specialists.
