Weinman's "Walking Liberty" half dollar that was introduced in 1917. The reverse depicts a portrait of America's national bird, the bald eagle, in its natural habitat. The powerful bird is shown soaring through the air, its great wings expanded as it carries an oak branch in its finely detailed talons. This singular design was launched mid 2021, as this year marks the 35th Anniversary of the American Eagle Coin Program.
