Built in the 16th century by the Sultan of Turkey, also known as Suleiman the Magnificent, the Walls around the Old City of Jerusalem include 8 gates. The first gate featured in this series, Jaffa Gate, is engraved in great detail, down to the aged bricks. The Tower of David is shown in the background. The reverse side shows an overview of the Walls of Jerusalem with each gate marked. This coin captures the architectural magnificence of Jaffa Gate and shines out in 999 fine silver.
