Palladium American Eagle Coins
This 1 oz Palladium American Eagle Coin from 2017 is the official palladium bullion coin of the United States. Just 15,000 of these coins were minted for the first time in 2017.
The obverse design is based on the "Winged Liberty" artwork by Adolph A. Weinman, which first appeared on the Mercury Dime. It shows Lady Liberty's profile, wearing a Phrygian cap with wings on the side. The reverse shows a standing eagle with wings raised back, pulling a laurel branch out of a rock with its beak. This design was also created by Weinman, originally for the American Institute of Architects gold medal.
