About 2016 1 oz Gold Roaring Grizzly Coins - Royal Canadian Mint

Gold Grizzly Coins from The Royal Canadian Mint

The third coin in the series of annual Call of the Wild releases features the legendary grizzly with its teeth bared. The design was created by Canadian Artist Pierre Leduc, and shows the side profile of the grizzly bear, mouth open to reveal its sharp teeth as it roars into the wild, with curved lines in the background to represent its sound.

This unique 24k gold coin (in 99.999% gold) incorporates the latest security features in the form of a micro-engraved maple leaf and a tamperproof assay card to confirm its authenticity.
