The design of the 30 g Gold Chinese Panda Coin was first released in 1982. The image has changed annually since then, with once exception in 2002, when the coin followed the previous year's design. These 30 g coins were introduced in 2016 to replace the former 1 oz weight.
The reverse design always features the iconic giant panda, while the obverse shows the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. The product details below are printed in Chinese characters on the coin.
