An adult bald eagle stands at a height of about 1 meter, and weighs an average of 7 kilograms. With a wingspan of more than 2 meters, the amazing bald eagle nests in tall trees near large bodies of water and away from human habitation. Their diet includes fish, birds and small mammals and they have no problem stealing from other predators.
The back of this silver coin depicts a bald eagle that has just caught a fish with its striking wings spread wide in flight. The design by the Canadian artist Emily Damstra characterizes the bird that has long been symbolized for its vision, power and stoicism. A portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt appears on the front surface of these legal tender silver bullion coins.
