Introduced in 2011, the Royal Canadian Mint Wildlife Series Coin set is composed of six finely crafted bullion coins struck in the same 99.99% pure silver as the iconic Silver Maple Leaf. The extremely limited mintage of 1,000,000 coins per design was released over a three-year period and has become a favorite amongst collectors and investors alike.
Celebrating Canada’s rich and abundant wildlife, the six different species that are represented in the collection include the 1 oz Silver Wolf Coin, 1 oz Silver Grizzly Coin, 1 oz Silver Cougar Coin, 1 oz Silver Moose Coin, 1 oz Silver Antelope Coin and 1 oz Silver Wood Bison Coin. Each silver coin beautifully portrays the animals in their native Canadian habitat.
The obverse of all the coins feature the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of mintage and a face value of CAD $5. Each Silver Canadian Wildlife coin is individually encapsulated to preserve its condition and is presented in an elegant leatherette box with a white silk lined lid.
